TruBlu Equestrian is owned and operated by Head Trainer, CJ Carpenter, and her partner, Steve Rief.
No strangers to hard work and dedication, they also perform, write music, record, and travel with their band, Suede Brain.
Truman, CJ’s decorated retired dressage show horse, and Stu, Steve’s young OTTB, provide companionship to the horses and ponies in the TruBlu program.
The couple also has a rescue dog, Kuhwiyah, and a rescue cat, Penny Lane.
CJ follows in a line of equestrian tradition dating back to her great-grandfather. Pictured below is her late mother, Pam Brooks, an accomplished hunter/jumper and student of Olympics-qualified dressage rider and jumper, Mike Sutton.
