“The Classical Philosophy behind Ms. Carpenter’s work is the core tenet around which TruBlu Equestrian has been built.”

Through 23 years of rehabbing severe rescue and medical cases, starting young horses, heavy competition in the USEF Dressage and Hunter/Jumper circuits, navigating treacherous conditions in untouched sections of the Rocky Mountains on horseback, deep and all-encompassing study of classical theory, acquiring a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology with honors, and giving hundreds of lessons to help students regain confidence and serenity, Ms. Carpenter has developed a horse-first system that has been proven, even under the most extreme conditions.

The truth about horses will always come first - no amount of modern influence will ever change that.

TruBlu Influences:

  • The original principals of sound horsemanship provide the backbone around which the TruBlu program is built.

  • A thorough understanding of how horses are built, the mechanisms and patterns they use for locomotion and how to heal those patterns, and the manner in which the horse and rider interact is essential to good training.

  • Horses and people have evolved to behave very different and have different reactions to stimuli. The TruBlu program finds way to help horse and rider meet in the middle and find serenity.

  • Good breathing practices are key to any athletic endeavor - and will carry over into every part of your life.

  • More important than how much weight someone can lift, how flexible they are, or how big their muscles are is how well they can accomplish real-life tasks. Both horse and rider feel more motivated and naturally find solutions to movement problems when faced with a tackling a task.

Classical principles rooted in the most ancient teachings on biomechanics, physics, and equestrian philosophy govern the daily operations of TruBlu Equestrian.

Ms. Carpenter’s deep and resounding love of the natural world, intimate understanding of biology and physics, and patient personality combine to result in a training system that reliably produces sound, relaxed horses who are happy and comfortable in their work - no matter the discipline, age, or history.

Horses who remain in the TruBlu program are well-rounded, confident, calm athletes who display higher levels of resilience, emotional regulation, learning ability, and physical ability.

Her confidence in, trust of, and adherence to the classical system is the fuel that delivers results time and time again.
